Volunteer Policies and Guidelines
We are thrilled to have you join us as a volunteer at Tinap Green. Your contribution is vital to our mission of promoting sustainability, empowering youth, and regenerating communities. To ensure a positive and productive experience for everyone involved, please review and adhere to the following policies and guidelines
1. Code of Conduct

Respect and Professionalism: Volunteers are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner towards fellow volunteers, staff, and the community.

Confidentiality: Volunteers must respect the confidentiality of any sensitive information encountered while volunteering.

Inclusivity: We value diversity and inclusivity. Discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.

Teamwork: Volunteers should work collaboratively with staff and other volunteers to achieve shared goals.
2. Roles and Responsibilities

Commitment: Volunteers are expected to commit to their designated roles and responsibilities. If you are unable to attend a shift, please notify the Volunteer Coordinator as soon as possible.

Follow Instructions: Volunteers should follow the instructions and guidance given by the team leader or project manager. If there are any uncertainties or concerns, please ask for clarification.

Health & Safety: Volunteers should adhere to all safety guidelines and use necessary protective equipment as required for the role.

3. Time Commitment

Hours: Volunteers should commit to the agreed-upon hours as per their volunteer role. If you need to adjust your schedule, please notify us in advance.

Punctuality: Volunteers should be punctual and adhere to agreed work hours.

4. Volunteer Rights

Training and Support: Volunteers will receive proper training for their roles and ongoing support from the Volunteer Coordinator.

Recognition: Volunteers’ contributions are valued and recognized. We appreciate and acknowledge the efforts of all volunteers regularly.

Safe Environment: Volunteers are entitled to work in a safe and supportive environment.

5. Health and Safety

Personal Well-being: Volunteers are encouraged to inform the Volunteer Coordinator if they have any health concerns or medical conditions that may affect their ability to carry out volunteer tasks.

Emergency Procedures: Volunteers should familiarize themselves with emergency procedures, including the location of first aid kits and emergency exits.

6. Volunteering and Confidentiality

Confidentiality Agreement: Volunteers are required to keep all sensitive and confidential information, whether about the organization, staff, volunteers, or beneficiaries, private.

Intellectual Property: Any work produced during volunteer work may be used by Tinap Green for marketing, reports, or other purposes. Volunteers agree that any such work is the property of the organization.

7. Termination of Volunteer Role

Voluntary Withdrawal: Volunteers may choose to withdraw from their role at any time with prior notice. Please inform the Volunteer Coordinator as early as possible.

Termination by Tinap Green: Tinap Green reserves the right to remove a volunteer from their role if they fail to adhere to the policies, exhibit inappropriate behavior, or no longer align with the mission.

8. Feedback and Improvement

Feedback: Volunteers are encouraged to provide feedback about their experiences. This helps us improve our volunteer program and ensure that we meet both the volunteer’s and the organization’s needs.

Evaluation: Volunteers will have the opportunity to discuss their performance and development during regular check-ins.
